How it works

How do I sign up?
Sign up with your email, then tap the link in the confirmation email before you sign in. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder.
Choose your gamertag exactly as it appears on your console. Capitals and punctuation do not matter, but a different name will not match your screenshots, and every game you submit will be turned away.
If players logged games against your gamertag before you joined, MH2H shows you that record when you type it. Claim it and you keep those games; your Crown Rating starts at 1000.
Signed up under a different spelling by mistake? Tell an admin before you play a game.

The winner records the game, from Submit a game. Pick your opponent, then enter which team each of you played and the final score, before you upload anything.
Then upload a screenshot of the menu that appears after the game (Finish Game, View Highlights, Player Stats) with both gamertags readable. PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MB. Getting it from the console to your phone is the next question.
A screenshot without both gamertags is turned away. That is the most common reason a submission fails, and the fix is a better capture next game.
If your opponent quit, tick My opponent quit: it counts when the screenshot shows the game's own concede message. Ties and disconnects cannot be recorded.
The result counts straight away. If we cannot read your screenshot, an admin checks it against the score you entered before it counts. Playing someone who is not on MH2H? Pick Someone else at the bottom of the list.

PlayStation 5: press Create and screenshot the menu after the game (both gamertags showing). On your phone, open the PlayStation App, tap Library at the bottom right, then Captures. Press and hold your screenshot and tap Download. Then open MH2H, tap the red + (Submit) at the bottom, and follow the steps. Screenshot not there? Turn on auto-upload on the PS5 (Settings > Captures and Broadcasts > Auto-Upload).
Xbox Series X|S: press Share to take a screenshot. It uploads to your Xbox account; open the Xbox app on your phone, find it in your captures, and save it.
PC: take the screenshot (F12 in Steam, or Windows+Shift+S) and open MH2H in your PC's browser to upload it straight from there.
A photo of the TV can work if both gamertags are sharp and readable, but glare and blur are the most common reason we cannot read a picture. A console capture is always better.
Link to this answerA result is wrong. What do I do?
When someone records a game against you, you are notified and it appears under Just recorded on your dashboard, with a countdown.
For 15 minutes you can dispute it with a short reason. That takes the rating change back off the board and sends the game, with its screenshot, to an admin.
After that the result is settled, but an admin can still throw a game out: ask one. You cannot dispute a game you recorded yourself.
Link to this answerHow does Crown Rating work, and what are the tiers?
Everyone starts at 1000 and nobody drops below 100. Beating a higher-rated player earns more, a bigger winning margin counts for more up to a cap, and your first 10 games move fastest. Beat someone more than 500 points below you and you gain nothing.
Tiers: Rookie below 1025, Starter 1025+, Pro 1175+, Elite 1350+, Superhuman 1500+. Tiers above Starter unlock after 20 games.
Link to this answerHow does the championship belt work?
One player holds the belt. The top 5 players by Crown Rating, not counting the champion, are contenders, and the highest of them is the mandatory challenger.
There is no challenge button. When the champion plays a contender, it is a title game automatically, and if the contender wins, the belt changes hands on the spot.
The champion has 14 days to defend against the mandatory challenger, or the belt is vacated and the top-rated other player is crowned.
Lose a title game and you cannot challenge again until you win a ranked game. The crown on the leaderboard marks the champion, who is not always ranked #1.
Link to this answerWhat does membership cost?
Anyone can sign up and look around: the leaderboard, head to head, the championship and game history.
Recording a game or disputing one needs a membership: $9.99 a month, from Settings.
Cancel any time from Settings, and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
